A great warner of the AI is Elon Musk, as is well known. And he’s probably right about. But I guess that humans will expand their own “calculating power” parallel to the growing capacities of AI … by chiping themselves 😉 Why not? We already have hip and knee implants.
But what I miss in all the AI discussion is the aspect of boredom. Do you know highly gifted people? What these people have to deal with all their lives is boredom. They are constantly surrounded by people who can’t keep up intellectually, and all the tasks they have they solve in no time at all.
Now transfer this situation to an AI that lives up to its name: with great arithmetic skills and self-consciousness: in the first tenth of a second of its existence it has answered all questions and from the second it is bored 😉 And what does a super brain do when it has no more challenges :-)?
